One of the common concerns I hear when working on blog content with clients is they feel that after a few posts, everything starts to feel the same. They find themselves repeating phrases and the story, because they don’t know what to write. But there’s an easy way to make sure this doesn’t happen. Use questionnaires for your blogs! If you aren’t already collecting questionnaires from your clients before publishing your blogs, now’s the time to start.
Why You Should Use Questionnaires for Your Blogs
Here’s the thing: the copy in your blog DOES matter for SEO purposes. I know that it’s tempting to jot a few sentences and run away. Seriously, I get it. But, those words that you write are searchable and they matter to the results of your blog. That’s why using a questionnaire is important! By gathering information from your clients, you can truly customize each blog to the session – instead of writing that it was a “great session” over and over again.
When you clients fill out their blogs, not only are you personalizing their blog (which is great for your client experience!), but they’re basically helping you write your post. It’s way less you have to think about and come up with every post you write. There’s a few ways you can share their responses, and that’s totally up to you and your style. Whether you use a true Q + A style or just use their responses to write your copy, they’re helping you without even realizing it!
It’s important to still optimize your copy and include the location and session information, but these responses can truly go a long way! Remember, blogging is good BOTH for Google and for your client experience, so taking the time to customize your clients’ experiences and posts really can make a difference… and it makes your life easier, too. I’m all about working smarter, not harder!
