When Katherine reached out to me about coming for a visit in San Diego, I was thrilled! Getting to travel back to the West Coast? Yes! Getting to see an old friend from high school? Yes! Getting to meet her wonderful college sweetheart? Of course! I’m so glad she wanted to have some portraits done of them while we were visiting, too. It just made the trip even sweeter. We spent our last night at Torrey Pines as the sun set over the water, enjoying the waves and the view – and I grabbed some portraits of them as we celebrated our wonderful trip!

Katherine and Dave are two of the most wonderful, genuine people I’ve ever had the joy of knowing. They truly care about each other and it’s evident in every single moment they’re together. The way they care for each other, how they speak to each other and the way they reach for each other’s hands. Getting to witness them together is such a gift.

They’re fairly private and so I won’t ramble on about them because I don’t want to embarrass them, but I just couldn’t help but share a few of the images from their beachy sunset session on our trip. I love them SO much!  Katherine and Dave, thank you for giving me a glimpse into your life – and the love you two give to each other. Never ever forget how that makes you feel. You two are amazing.
