Laura + Tyler are some of my favorite people to photograph. I’ve known them for a few years now and watched their family grow, which is always such a special relationship to have. When Laura messaged me on Instagram that she was interested in helping with this project, I absolutely said yes! These high school sweethearts have been married 9 years now and they’re still very much in love, which is simply beautiful to see.
When I read through their questionnaire, I laughed and smiled at the truth and reality they answered with. Although being parents to three young boys takes up a lot of their time, these two have worked hard to make their relationship with each other and their faith the basis of their lives. One of the things I loved reading was that it took them awhile to realize they were on the SAME team and that they should be working to unite, not divide themselves despite how stressful life can get. It’s amazing, that even after almost 13 years together, they still choose EVERY DAY to love each other. If that’s not a great reminder on how to make a relationship last, I don’t know what is!
Laura and Tyler, thank you for being a part of this project. Your love story continues to inspire me and I wish you so many more happy years together. Keep choosing each other and I know you’ll last forever.
