Okay, I don’t think I can take anymore of my cousins growing up! Christopher is a senior in high school this year and I had the extreme pleasure of being asked to take his senior portraits! I’ve taken my sister’s – both high school + college (that would make for an interesting then + now post!) and my cousin Ashley’s high school portraits, so it was a great feeling to be asked to take these. However – I simply CANNOT believe Chris is old enough to be a senior in high school!
We met up in Downtown Fredericksburg a few weekends ago and walked around the Square + a few of the streets. Ryan and I so rarely get 1:1 time with my cousins – it was a great chance to hear all about his future plans!! We’re all anxiously sitting on pins + needles waiting for his acceptance letters to roll in – which they will! I had fun getting to see Chris loosen up and smile and laugh at me (okay, I was trying not to fall over so I guess I asked for it!) and just celebrate this phase of life with him – I remember when he barely wanted to talk to me and now, he’s so open + full of energy! Christopher is really interested in computer science + we’re so excited to see which school he’ll be at in the fall! One more magnet for my car is coming!!! (I have magnets on my car from my school – SU, Megan’s – CNU + Ashley’s – JMU! I don’t know why, but I love this tradition).
Christopher, I remember when you were born. I remember holding you as a baby – feeding you and babysitting you with my mom. It is truly amazing that this I am beyond proud of the young man you have become. I know that you will achieve everything that you set your mind to. You are intelligent + a good natured young man. You’re full of laughs + a heart that serves the people around you – and also those far away. I’ve loved getting to bond this year over your trips to Europe, your interest in photography + your hard work. I look forward to hearing many more stories about college, your traveling + all the great things you are doing in the world! I love you, kiddo – Ryan and I are SO proud of you!! Enjoy the rest of your senior year!!
XOXO,
Kristina
