In January, I went down to Blacksburg to visit Jessica and Will Bulloss, of Bulloss Photography (check them out HERE) for a mentoring session to start getting ready to jump start my new business. I texted my long time friend, Kristin when I found out I would be where she’s located these days to see if we could get breakfast and I could use her as a model the morning after my mentoring session–you know, so I immediately started practicing what Jess had taught me. To my luck, she was estatic that I asked her to model! She asked if she could bring her boyfriend, Shawn to the session and of course, I said YES because I absolutely ADORE photographing couples!
Although it was cold (I mean COLD) that morning, the two of them were troopers for me. I was also thrilled that I was able to photograph at Virginia Tech finally-somewhere my father went to school and so many other people I love did too! It’s such a beautiful place. The duck pond was quiet and even in the winter, absolutely stunning. (Someone bring me back to VT for pictures, please!!)
About a week later, I texted Kristin again that her pictures were ready and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever gotten such an enthusiastic response from someone! She was THRILLED to finally have more than selfies of them–which means so much to me. She’s not the first person to tell me that and I LOVE when my couples get so excited about their images. These two are SUCH a wonderful couple and full of love. It’s so clear when you look at these images that Shawn is head-over-heels for her and she’s equally as in love and that, folks, is BEAUTIFUL.
Kristin + Shawn, I can’t wait to take more pictures of you both! You’re wonderful and I love you to pieces! I’m so glad we’ve stayed friends after all these years, Kristin. You’re beautiful and I will never thank you enough for supporting me and always being there. I hope you enjoy revisiting these photos because I do–here’s a few of my favorites from that morning in Blacksburg!
XOXO,
Kristina
