I am beyond excited to introduce you to one of my favorite people on this earth: Jonathan Curtis! I’ve known this guy since middle school (which is crazy) and I’ve seen him become the wonderfully talented man he is today! Jonathan is a make up artist + YouTube personality – he does make up for weddings (he did mine!), portrait sessions and theatre productions in addition to providing tips, tricks and make up reviews on his YouTube channel – trust me, he’s got some AWESOME videos!  Jonathan and I started on some great projects this past week and since you’ll be seeing his face pop up on the blog here and there throughout the month, I wanted to take a moment to introduce you to him! 

All the great outfits + make up in these photos were designed + executed by Jonathan and obviously, he’s a natural model! He kept me laughing our entire photo shoot and I loved getting to work with someone I love so dearly on such a fun project. He’s brilliant and so patient. There’s so many things I could tell you but instead, I asked Jonathan two questions (trying to keep it short!) about his career that I think explain a lot for all of you who don’t know him! 

When did you start getting involved in make up?  I started learning about makeup in Theatre class in school and I’ve loved it since then! I never really thought I could make a career out of it until after school when I started working on it more and practicing my skills.

Who or what has  inspired you? I learned a lot of my art from watching people on YouTube like Lisa Eldridge and Pixiwoo, and really felt like they were doing something amazing with their online presence, but at the time there wasn’t really anyone showing men’s makeup or even men doing their own makeup! So I really felt that I wanted to get out there and show other guys that it’s okay to play with makeup and teach them how to do it! My tips aren’t just for men though, I really gear my videos to anyone who loves makeup and likes a polished, natural look!
