June 27, 2015 we got married. That’s 2 years ago, you guys! TWO YEARS. How did that happen?  I feel like people really aren’t joking when they say the older you get, the faster everything goes. I can’t believe that we’ve been married for 2 whole years! And what a two years it’s been, full of new adventures – vacations, a honeymoon, a new house, bringing Shelby home, the business re-opening, taking on new roles in our jobs, coaching, and so much more. 

Just the other night, I cracked open our wedding album and you asked me why I was bothering to look at it. But as I sat there with you peeking over my shoulder, I was reminded of how special our day was – how much our celebrations, our words to each other and being with everyone we love was. Our day was crafted around bringing together our families and I get so happy (and emotional!) every time I think about how wonderful our day was – the perfect celebration of us. 

​I didn’t think it was possible – but I do love you more than I did the day we said our vows in the heat and the rain at our favorite vineyard. You still make me smile and laugh every day and you always make the time to talk with me about how things are going. I’ve seen you become an even more supportive and loving husband and I’ve watched us transition into new seasons of life together. Things aren’t always perfect, but I suppose they’d be pretty boring if they were. 🙂 

And now, two years later, here we are. Still so happy with each other, with the path we’re on and I can only imagine how much more wonderful year three together will be. Thank you for a beautiful second year of marriage. Thank you for always pushing me to be better (even when I don’t want to hear it). Thank you for loving me, for picking up after me when my brain is in 6,000 places, thank you for cooking when I’m too tired and for watching musicals you could care less about. Thank you for letting me pursue my dreams and for pursuing yours. Thank you for moving furniture and always striving to make our home more comfortable for me (and you). Thank you for giving me the greatest gift of your time and love these past two years. Thank you for putting up with my adventures – even when they turn out wacky. 

Happy anniversary, Ryan. I’m so excited to see what adventures lie ahead for us.​
