Man, life in the Dowler household has changed drastically – and for the better – over the last few weeks. What’s been going on, you ask? Well, I’ll tell you…

 
The biggest news is that Ryan and I are officially HOMEOWNERS! I won’t bore you with the crazy tale of how we got here, but the important part is that on March 14, Ryan and I signed for our first home together – a beautiful town house that we absolutely love! It’s perfect for us right now, it’s giving us so much more space to be and grow and I think we’re just all around happier people now that this is over. We had the best move in day with people we love coming to help us and accomplished SO very much on that (somewhat) rainy Saturday. He and I are still making our house feel like a home, but we’re almost done with the boxes and Lowe’s runs, I think… at least until I decide to start painting the bathrooms… I’m not a huge interior decorator and I wish I was, because I always see these beautiful houses that are perfectly coordinated and I’m just STUNNED, but then again – I LOVE who we are and our house is starting to reflect that! The boys are finding their places in the new space, aren’t they just the cutest?!

 
Over Easter weekend this year, we got to see our niece and nephew to celebrate our sweet little niece’s second birthday (which is absolutely unbelievable!). We got SO MANY baby cuddles in and it was absolutely wonderful. Our niece is SO big and I can’t believe how quickly she’s going but I’m beyond happy she still loves to cuddle with her Aunt Kristina! (She’s the one in the wagon at the top of the post- her little brother is with us below!)

 
That trip led us to the next piece of exciting news… we are now dog owners! A new house and a dog? YES! This sweet girl, Shelby, has actually been in the family for a long time and we’re quite excited that she’s going to be joining us for the newest adventure here, although it was a difficult decision to make for everyone involved. Welcome to VA, Shelby!!!

 
Whew. I think that’s it for now. It’s been such a good few weeks!! I’m hoping to share some secrets of home owning (okay, well maybe not secrets for all of you – but things we’ve learned) on the blog as we go, LOTS of pictures of all our furbabies in the new space, and just… our life together on the newest adventure.
