Oh my goodness. Danielle + Ian are two of my favorite people on this earth! I’ve known Danielle since we met as juniors in high school (so what is that now, 8 years?) and I met Ian the weekend before they became an official item in college—so you could say I’ve been with them this whole journey! And they’ve been with me. Back when I really seriously considered a business the first time around in college, they put up with me dragging them out to a park over Easter weekend and taking their photos and that turned out to be one of my favorite sessions. Until now.
They were coming over to see us and Danielle and I had been tossing around the idea of getting new pictures. It wasn’t until Ian said something at the shoot that I realized it had been THREE YEARS since our first photoshoot–so they were both very grateful to have update pictures. It was our first time shooting at this park, so we had a great time getting to explore the waterfront and the pier, finding the perfect little hideaway near the end with the most GORGEOUS light coming through the trees!
I am so happy to see them grow every day in their relationship with each other and I’m so thankful they asked me to capture how things are now—three years after that original photoshoot. A lot has changed over these past three years, but the way they look at each other hasn’t, which is such a beautiful thing. I am so lucky to have such wonderful friends. I love you both to the moon and back. Thank you for the love, for the support and most importantly for letting me be here with you as you follow your paths together.
Here’s a few of my favorites from our session at Occoquan Regional Park—what a beautiful park and a beautiful day with two lovely people!
XOXO,
Kristina
