Senior portraits are always so much fun because being a senior in high school (or college!) is a whirlwind of emotions + wonderful things to do and celebrate. I was so excited when my cousin, Christopher, asked if he could pass along my information to one of his good friends (“adopted family”!). Celebrating seniors isn’t something I get to do a lot anymore so I LOVE the chance to capture them.
Brandon and his grandmother met Ryan + me this past Sunday for a chilly, wintery senior session in Occoquan Virginia. Brandon was such a champ, hanging with me + smiling away. He told me about his college applications + how he was interested in studying computer science! Definitely a lot like my cousin (and my sister, actually!). We can’t wait to hear how your applications go, Brandon + we’re rooting for you!! We bonded over traveling to Europe – I so hope your mission trip is amazing!!
One of the reasons I love Occoquan’s waterfront is because in just a few short steps we can get so many looks out of the location – waterfront, colorful homes, a small sweet park + even some beautiful steps and brick backgrounds. The versatility is endless! This time of year is actually very beautiful – despite being very cold! We still have some of the beautiful fall colors here in Virginia and we haven’t yet had our fist snowfall so greens + reds are still all around us. I love that there were some great Christmas decorations to incorporate into his portraits – a great celebration of this time of year!
Congratulations on being a senior, Brandon! This is such an amazing time in your life – I can’t wait to hear all about the great things you do! Enjoy the rest of your year!! Go class of 2017!
XOXO,
Kristina
