I LOVE BABIES!!! There, I said it! I’m pretty sure if you know anything about me, you know that I love babies but what I love more is getting to photograph babies – their tiny feet, their cute little eyes that can’t focus on anything yet, the way their moms look at them like they’re the most perfect things in the world (because, they are!), how dads hold them like they’re insanely breakable and their adorable little smiles + silly faces. Getting to document a new life is probably one of the most amazing experiences I get as a photographer and this newborn session last Friday is no different!

I met Baby Jon’s momma, Kristin, through one of my other clients (Rebecca!). Kristin took part in my Mornings with Moms series and we did a maternity portrait session together not too long ago and I just LOVE this girl. She is so much fun to be around – lively, laughing and always smiling. She’s so easy to talk to and absolutely gorgeous, so photographing her is a breeze! I’ve been waiting patiently for her little guy to arrive so  could meet him (because I knew he would be absolutely perfect)! I’m so happy to say I was right!!! Last Friday I got to visit their sweet little home – not far from where I grew up, believe it or not! – and celebrate this little guy’s birth just over a week ago (now over two weeks ago)! His nursery is done up in yellow + white, all duck themed (HOW CUTE!!!) and I spent time just enjoying getting to watch his sweet momma rock him and talk to him. His older brother (their dog!) was so protective of him – we actually had to put him outside the room so I could get some work done, but he laid right outside the door making sure everything was okay – I mean, seriously, how much cuter does this family get?!  It’s so clear there is such a bond between Jon and his momma and I hope to get to see it grow as he gets bigger. I know Jon is going to steal so many hearts like he stole mine!

Kristin, I am so amazed by you – you are such a wonderful momma! Thank you for letting me be a small part of your journey with Jon! I look forward to seeing him grow and watch you + Chris become the parents you were always meant to be!
