4 Blog Ideas for Non-Photography Bloggers

Uncategorized

We’re firm believers that blogging is one of the best things a business can do to help market themselves. Whether you’re a photographer or not, creating a blog on your website will help increase traffic and create more content for you to share across platforms. It also provides inspiration and demonstrates to your clients that you know what you’re doing! Today, we want to share four blog ideas for non-photography bloggers. I know that so many tips out there are for photographers, so let’s brainstorm some ideas for you to share with your audience!

4 blog ideas for non-photography bloggers: inspiration for service and product based businesses shared by content writers

#1: Showcase your product (or service).

Writing a blog about the products or services you offer is a great way to market what you’ve got going on. This is a chance to show off what you do – and why you’re so good at it. This blog could feature a handful of similar products For example, maybe you make macrame crafts. blog about your plant hangers in one post and then all of your home accents like coasters or rugs in another. Alternatively, you can share about the services you offer and break them out into blog posts. Answer FAQs and describe what you do in depth and demonstrate how they can use your products in real life.

#2: Share part of your process.

This is a great way to show clients a little behind the scenes of your business. Share your office, studio, or shop and show how you do what you do. People LOVE to learn about the process – so show it here. Talk about what inspires you or how you physically make a product. Add in a few well-lit cell phone photos and you’re good to go.

#3: Provide a tip for your audience.

Depending on the service or product you offer, consider writing a blog that’s educational for your audience. If you’re a florist, write a post about how to make your cut flowers last longer. Furniture designer? Share about how to make sure it lasts for years. Anything that you can write that demonstrates you know your stuff is worth sharing! This is also a piece of content that you can point customers to over and over again, which is a great added bonus!

#4: A tutorial.

People love to learn how to do something new. If you have a process that you can share or turn into an opt-in, consider blogging about it! Tutorials often perform really well if they’re something people want to learn. Maybe you can show people how to make a small arrangement of flowers or how to make your favorite breakfast sandwich with your company’s bread.

There’s a few blog ideas for non-photography bloggers! The goal of blogs is to connect with your audience and demonstrate your expertise. Finding ways to showcase what you do via your blog is the best way to think about topics that you choose. Hopefully these ideas help you feel more confident about choosing the perfect topic for your blog, no matter what kind of business you own!
