For the longest time, the idea of creating a portrait series that celebrated relationships, engagements and marriages has been on my heart. I don’t know why exactly, other than human relationships have always (and probably always will) fascinated me. What makes us choose our significant other? What makes us work hard to keep the relationship going and what makes us stay even after the hard days?
As I thought about how I could translate that into a portrait session for my clients, I realized these relationships have to be celebrated, they have to be documented – no matter how busy these couples are. So, the Celebrating Love! series was born!
This past Sunday, I met with 5 amazing couples at Rockhill Plantation House in various stages of their relationships – dating, engaged, married for a few months and a few years! The goal was to provide them a portrait session that wouldn’t eat up their entire day but would allow them to slow down, be with each other and remember what those moments felt like years from now. These portrait series are designed to be 15-20 minutes because so many couples these days are SO busy that when they have to make a long commitment for pictures, they often turn them down. That kills me! You deserve to have beautiful portraits of your significant other and you that aren’t selfies. You deserve to celebrate who you are at this moment in your lives and have it documented.
Today I’m just sharing a few highlights from my sessions on Sunday morning! Throughout the next few weeks, I’ll share more images from each session on the blog. If you’re interested in scheduling a Celebrating Love! session with me, fill out the contact form here! Don’t ever think you don’t have the time to celebrate your love story – or that you’re too early in it (or been together too long!) to do so either. Every stage of love is important.
I hope to hear from you! Until then, enjoy these sweet couples!
xoxo
