Hello!

Welcome to you, friends! I’m so glad you found me—I can’t wait to get to know each of you! My name is Kristina and I’m a wedding, maternity + portrait photographer out of Northern Virginia. Of course, if you got this far you probably already knew that… I thought it might be fun to share a few little known things about me for my first blog post. As we travel on this journey together, you’ll see lots about my life, how I got here and plenty of gorgeous photographs of my favorite sessions + weddings!

But for now, here’s a bit about me:

1. I know all of the lyrics to Wicked, just about any Disney movie and Mamma Mia. I’m a showtunes and old musical junkie. And, I loved Idina Menzel before she was cool.
2. I played cello for 11 years and got to tour in Spain with my college orchestra. My soul was so happy that week—travel, friends and music? Yes please! However, Spain will never have anything on the way my heart feels about Serbia—which was the first European trip I made. You’ll definitely hear about that on the blog in the future!
3. I only eat yellow starbursts and I’ not saying that in a they’re-my-favorite-but-I’ll-eat-other-ones way. The yellow are the only ones worth eating!
4. I love to knit! I’m one of those girls who gets super excited by craft fairs and yarn shops and projects I start and never finish.
5. I’m not any good at quilting but my mother and I are going to be completing a quilt along this year that is a Little House on the Prairie theme—at least that’s the hope. Love me some Laura Ingles Wilder!  I’ll be sure to share things as we go!
6. The hubby and I are addicted to watching anything on HGTV or Food Network. At this point, I should be able to build my dream home from scratch and make a 3-course meal out of what is currently in my pantry… (I said should…).
7. I have to keep my DVDs in alphabetical order because it makes me feel calmer.
8. The Wizard of Oz is my favorite classic movie.
9. I will not listen to Christmas music until Santa comes down the parade route in New York City on Thanksgiving Day! It’s just not Christmas season to me yet!
10. Lilies are my favorite flowers!
