Honestly guys, I didn’t think I would get this blog post up today. And not because I didn’t want to but because I had SO many favorites from this wonderful mommy & me session in Downtown Fredericksburg this Sunday night! There’s something amazingly special about mommy and me sessions because I get to capture such important moments between a momma and her little one – that unfortunately might otherwise go un-captured. Rebecca and Ben had so much fun along the river on Sunday – walking, playing with a surprise pup who joined the shoot and just laughing with each other. 

When we started our session, Benjamin wasn’t too thrilled about it. He just wanted to wander and especially be near the river. This little one loves water!! I assured Rebecca it was fine and we would get some beautiful shots no matter what, which I think we did! Being able to just capture Ben and how he interacted with his momma is such a special gift to me. These two are perfect together and I can’t say enough how much I love them both! Ben was so cute – munching on a cookie, exploring the riverfront and just being such a happy little boy (okay, mostly happy – it was his bed time after all!). We even had a chance to play with a sweet puppy, Osa, who’s only 8 weeks old! Thank you to that sweet couple we met! The point is – no matter what happens during your session, I am there to document it and I promise you’ll love the memories!

Mommy and me sessions are so important to me because mommas are usually the ones documenting their little one’s growth and daily activities but you don’t always see momma in the photograph! I think it’s just an occupational hazard! These sessions allow momma to get in front of the camera and do what she does best: love on her little one. Rebecca, you do that SO well and I seriously love watching you be a momma!!! You are an amazing one for sure!!! Enjoy a few of my favorites from this waterfront mommy & me session!
