What to Wear: Maternity | Expecting a Little Boy

About a month ago, I posted the first blog in this mini-series about what to wear for your maternity session when you’re the momma of a little girl. I’m so excited to share the next entry in this series about what to wear to your maternity session when you’re the momma (to-be) of a little boy! Again, these are by no means required outfits but they’re suggestions for your sessions because my clients ask what to wear most often.

Similarly to what I wrote about mommas of little girls, I think maternity sessions are the perfect time to wear long, flowing dresses. We’re able to play with the movement of the dress, really show off the sweetest baby bumps and make sure every momma feels as beautiful as she looks! Dresses like this are perfect all year round – the colors, the patterns and the exact shape are what make them different for each momma. It’s a great idea to play up the dresses with accessories like sweaters, jewelry and hats (I love big floppy ones!).

While planning for a maternity session, I recently fell in love with the Jessica Simpson maternity line (Including the one Kelly is wearing above!), so you’ll see a few outfits from this collection. I’ve picked up a few dresses to include in my client closet! Any client may use any outfits I have in my client closet for their session. I’m always finding new pieces + expanding the options I have! Here’s a few of the looks for expecting mommas I’ve come to love recently!
