One of the best things about being a photographer is that I get to connect with amazing people every time I take out my camera. I connect with mothers, fathers, children, students, teachers, couples in love, married couples, community leaders, other industry vendors and simply put: amazing people. I love that my job brings me into people’s lives, giving me the chance to capture moments that might otherwise not be saved. That being said, I LEAP at the chance to use my photography to give back to the community around me.  I’m so excited to announce that for the second year, I will be donating a portrait session to the Barrie School’s “For the Love of Barrie” Event!

The Barrie School is an independent school that provides a Montessori approach to learning for it’s younger students and focuses on college prep for the older students. I might be a little biased since some of our best friends work there, but I think the school is wonderful! Not to mention it’s seriously on a beautiful campus in Silver Spring. 

For the Love of Barrie is an annual event that occurs in the spring for the school. This event is a night full of food, drinks and auctions to support the Annual Fund. This fund helps close the gap between what is paid and what is needed for tuition for students, which is a GREAT use of the money raised. I am all about providing children with a great education! For the second year, I am donating a portrait session to the event. And this year, I’m adding a printed product along with the session! I’m SO excited to see who wins the session this year. Last year, I met the fabulous Bolek family because they won the session and I can’t wait to see them this year at the event!
