While at the Salt Air Motherhood Experience in the Outer Banks, Amanda created a styled shoot for all of the workshop attendees to photograph. The shoot took place on Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head, which actually happens to be on one of my places to walk and watch the oceans crash in the Outer Banks. The shoot was inspired by southwestern themes, colors and patterns and it was just BEAUTIFUL!

The bright colors of all of the details just came together in a fun way pairing well with our gorgeous model and her funky wedding dress, bouquet and fun jewelry. I honestly didn’t know how much I would love the colors until I went through my images when I got home. I mean, really? The colors they coordinated were AMAZING!! It was seriously a blast getting to float around the pier, chatting with the other ladies and getting headshots – all while the storm rolled in! Even with the rain and fog coming in, the details just lit up the space and I seriously haven’t had that much fun photographing details in awhile!
