When I received Andrew + Nicole’s inquiry about photographing them and their family, I was thrilled! I loved the idea of getting to capture of all their friends + godchildren at this stage in life. When children are little (and when they’re grown!), I think it’s important to capture all the little moments that mean the most. As Andrew + Nicole continued to converse with me about scheduling + filled out my questionnaire, I could feel how much they love those around them + also saw the importance of documenting this time in their lives.
We met up at the Spotsylvania Courthouse Battlefield, a new location for me and let me tell you something – I was in LOVE! There’s so many great places to walk, enjoy nature and just be together. We had so many little ones in tow, so we all worked quickly + efficiently to get photographs of each of them with their parents + their Aunt Nicole and Uncle Andrew plus some pretty incredible group shots (if I do say so myself)!
Andrew + Nicole, I know I said this when I shared a few sneak peeks with you but you two are truly special people. It is not hard to believe that you have been blessed with the wonderful people I met Sunday because your hearts are so big and true. I cannot thank you enough for watching out for me on Sunday while I worked – checking if I needed water, any help, and even offering pizza afterwards! The afternoon was about you + your family and your selflessness is not lost on me. I hope you love the portraits we got on Sunday as much as I do and I hope to see you both again very soon! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture these moments for you!
