OH MY GOODNESS. This family!! I have never, ever laughed so hard or so much during a family portrait session. The Jacks family got together to celebrate Keith’s 70th birthday + contacted me to photograph this special time for them. We met up off a cute little trail in Bristow VA and got right into grabbing some portraits of everyone there. This family does not take themselves too seriously at all and I’m SO thankful! Big groups can be overwhelming sometimes – making sure you don’t miss anything and make everyone happy – but this group? Absolutely wonderful! They had great ideas, moved from each grouping quickly + smiled away! 

Jenell + Keith, your family is absolutely stunning in more ways than one. It is so obvious that you have a family full of love + laughter, which is so important in this lifetime. You’re also incredibly beautiful people inside and out. I had a true blast getting to be with you for the afternoon! I love seeing you with your sons, your daughters-in-law and your sweet grandbabies. Oh, and CJ! How could we forget that handsome pup? I love getting to photograph extended families like this because I know how hard it can be to get everyone in one spot – my family is that way. We’re spread out + all so busy! It was such a joy to know that they were willing to take some time out of their day to spend with me and make sure such a big birthday was documented!!! Happy birthday again, Keith! 

This sweet family made the beautiful scenery along the trail just pop with their perfect color combination! I love when my families wear coordinating colors that really stand out against the fall foliage. Tell me I’m wrong! It’s absolutely perfect! Families – when you come in for portraits, you better call Kristine to coordinate your outfits – she was brilliant! I’m so excited to share a few of our images from Saturday’s session with you!
