If you follow me (or really any other photographer) on social media these days, you’ve probably seen my reminder that fall mini sessions are open for the year! I thought I would take a minute today to tell you a few more details, provide the link to sign up and share a few of my tips for these sessions!
Fall minis will be taking place in Winchester during the evening of October 1st (Saturday) and then in Stafford VA on Oct 6, 8, 19 and 20. Sessions will last for approximately 25 minutes for each appointment. The sessions are scheduled back to back, so punctuality is so important on these days! The mini sessions are $150 this year and entitle you to the digital images from our session in an online gallery. If interested, a product ordering session can also be scheduled 1-2 weeks after your session.
What makes a mini session unique is that these sessions are short and you get some great shots without having to put your family or spouse/significant other (even pet!) through a full length session. I know Ryan hates getting his picture taken but if it’s only for a short amount of time, he’s so much better about sticking it out! These sessions are great for everyone – moms, dads, families, extended families, new babies, couples (engaged or not!), some quick headshots or even your maternity pictures. This is a great time to grab your holiday card pictures – can you imagine having the picture you need for your card done before thanksgiving?!!
Alright so now that you know what they’re all about and you’re ready to book a mini session (I would love to see you!), here are my three tips to make sure you get the most out of our time together!
1: Show up early! Make sure you’re there on time so we get your entire slot of time – not just whatever’s left. Because sessions are scheduled closely together, I can’t push everyone backwards if one session shows up late.
2: Stay focused! We will have a short window of time but I guarantee if everyone is willing to focus + cooperate, we will get tons of beautiful shots in just 20-25 minutes. It’s SO much easier than you think! I promise.
3: Relax + smile! No matter what kind of session we do together, I strive to capture the real moments between everyone. I want to see you laughing, snuggling up in the chilly fall weather or just relaxing. I am here to make sure you have pictures of your whole family (yes momma bear, put that phone camera down and BE in a picture with your kiddos!) or a non-selfie of you and your significant other. This is my job and I LOVE getting to help make your memories last!
Please let me know if you have any questions! Interested in a mini session? Grab your slot HERE! I can’t wait to see you!
XOXO,
Kristina
