For our first wedding anniversary, Ryan and I decided to take a trip back where we got married. Ingleside Vineyards rents out two cabin properties, Summerton + the Pointe, which is along the river. We were so excited to find out the Pointe was open and available for rental so we booked it right away! Spending the weekend away and together was just what we needed! 

To be totally honest, we were boring married people and spent most of the time at the cabin itself – reading, watching Law & Order, Jeopardy (outside on the deck, I might add!) and Shark Tank and sitting outside munching on crackers, cheese + wine. Oh, and of course – our cupcakes from Sweet Reasons! SO GOOD. I mean, with a view like this, how could we go anywhere else? 

We did find a new restaurant to enjoy in Colonial Beach – Dockside Restaurant and Tiki Bar. Oh My GOODNESS. The food was AMAZING – such a good decision. When we were all full, we were able to sit in the most comfortable swings and just watch the water, boats and people go by. What a way to spend a few hours together out in the sun. Colonial Beach is really quite a cute little beach town. It’s SO worth the trip out there.

Definitely worth a trip out to Colonial Beach if you’re ever interested in some time away – without having to go too far from Stafford/Fredericksburg!
